Ready to paint the town red? Postcard-perfect paradise by day, Perth transforms into a spirited party town after the sun goes down. The streets come alive with music and colour as droves flock to pumping clubs and pubs. Following a recent change in licensing laws there has also been a big rise in the number of small bars and this is really captivating the imagination of the Perth nightlife cognoscenti. Main places to go include: Perth CBD (particularly the West End) Swan River (South Perth) Northbridge (Perth's cultural hub) Subiaco (10 minutes west of the Perth CBD) Fremantle (a bustling port city is about 30 minutes drive south of Perth City) Victoria Park (just across the river from the CBD) However, as this video shows, don't forget to check out the night delights...

The City of Lights. On February 20, 1962 American astronaut John Glenn became the first American to orbit the earth. The people of Perth left their lights on and rushed out to their backyards to wave torches into the night sky. It was the moment Perth became ‘the city of lights’ and Mr Glenn later thanked the thousands who left their lights on.

I shot this time lapse as my first test of my Genie device. Around 1100 shots taken over the course of an hour as the Genie panned 130 degrees counter clockwise. I am looking forward to using this device with a few other things i have at home to shoot some hopefully great time lapses over the coming months.

Australia-crossed! We bought day-nighter in the Red car, which is the cheapest seating available. But it was comfortable, spacey, good value! BTW, someone was thrown out of the train in our car, coz he was shouting to his phone for 2 hours non-stop, so they had to call the police.. so we our first stop was shortened.

Take off from Jandakot then a few orbits around Perth City and then back to the aerodrome for a landing on runway 06 Left. https://www.expedia.com/Perth.d180013.Destination-Travel-Guides A modern city, Perth is the gem of Australia’s west coast and the capital of Western Australia. This friendly metropolis boasts pristine beaches, clear water, and plenty of coastline – not to mention an abundance of nature and mineral resources. Start your day of Perth sightseeing with a walk through Kings Park, which is larger than New York’s Central Park and home to the Western Australia Botanic Garden. More than 3,000 species of Western Australia’s plant life, including vibrant flowers, are on display here. Most of the park consists of bushland, which means lots of wildlife and quite a few walking trails. After a morning of reflection in the park, head over to the Swan Bell Tower to enjoy a spectacular view of the city. ...

Had the chance to fly to Perth for work but it felt like I was on a holiday every single day! It was my first time to travel outside Asia. It was overwhelming at first (felt like I was the only Asian LOL) but I had the best time ever. Couldn't be more grateful to my boss for this opportunity :D Hopefully, a couple of years from now.. I could move to Perth and settle down there for good. Ahh, beach everyday! *fingers crossed*
Perth is a must visit if you're thinking of a trip over to Western Australia, the beautiful coastline and Perth attractions make it the ideal place to take family, friends or your partner. The city is easy to navigate, with everything fairly close, Hay and Murray Street is home to big name shops, cinemas and the GPO. Kings Park and Botanic Gardens are a beautiful place for a stroll and offers some great views of the city. The Botanic Gardens features over 3,000 species and the Rio Tinto Naturescape is great for the kids. The coastline is one of Perth's draws, and if the heat is getting to you head for a dip at the golden sands on Cottesloe Beach, City Beach or Scarborough. Fremantle is located at the mouth of the Swan River, boasting historical buildings, the Roundhouse and the Maritime Mu...
The Margaret River region runs down the Western Australian coastline for over 80 miles, and stretches inland for a further 20. Busselton marks the beginning of one of Australia’s most scenic drives, Caves Road, which gets its name from the incredible limestone caves which honeycomb the region. Caves Road winds inland, through picturesque villages and historic timber towns, before arriving at the region’s main settlement, Margaret River. Surrounded by coasts on three sides, and enjoying virtually rain-free summers, as a wine-growing region, Margaret River has been compared to France’s famous Bordeaux region. Cruise from cellar door to cellar door, sampling some of the most exciting Chardonnays, Shirazs and Cabernet Sauvignons on the planet. At Margaret River’s northern end is Cape Natur...

The best things in life are (almost!) free, and that is certainly the case if you head to Perth in Western Australia. As this video shows, you don't need a bulging wallet to enjoy what the city has to offer, for example: City Walking Tours and Trails Walking tours of the city and the City Walks and Trails maps are the best way to explore the Perth CBD and surrounding areas. i-City volunteers guide free walking tours each week day, departing from the i-City Information Kiosk in Murray Street Mall near Forrest Place. The tours take up to 2 hours, and you can join in or leave anywhere along the way. You can also do the walking tours yourself by picking up the walking tour map and comprehensive guide from the i-City kiosk. The walks and trails intercept the city's free CAT bus servic...

Travel to Perth, WA (HD) - Perth, WA Tours - Perth, WA Vacation Travel Videos HD, World Travel Guide http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=World1Tube Perth is the capital city of Western Australia and is the most isolated capital city of over 1,000,000 people in the world. Perth sprawls along a flat coastal plain, centred along the Swan River and bounded by the Darling Scarp to the east and the Indian Ocean coastline in the west. Perth has a population of around 1.6 million (2009), making it the fourth largest city in Australia. Those wild nights that ended in a toilet cubicle, the first strip club you entered, the five teapots of cocktails consumed at World Bar, the meat pie from a convenience store as you waited for hours for the first morning train. Savour them in your memory, it's time to say good bye to the king of debauchery, Kings Cross. You can only hold on to your 20s for so long, but fear not, grown Sydneysider, if history has taught us anything, the Cross will live again. Somehow, one day. There has been talk in recent years about the impending final farewell as the red lights turned off, the nightclub lights turned on and more recently, the streets became still and quiet after midnight. But we didn't want to believe it, Kings Cross, we shook our heads and took another shot. At the beginning of 2014, ...

A timelapse video I made driving from Perth to Sydney in Sept/Oct 2012, towards the end of a 3-month, 20,000km road trip around Australia. Camera is a Swann go-pro equivalent; photos were taken at a 2-second interval. Note as it gets darker/night, exposure time increases, but interval between photos is still 2 seconds, hence the warp drive effect. 43311 photos went into this; I used the very excellent FastStone Photo Resizer to resize, crop, renumber and collate all the source images into one folder, then FFmpeg to compile into the movie. I'm thinking of doing another vid without all the stops, so it's one continuous drive. What say you? Let me know in the comments... Vehicle is my trusty 1999 VW Transporter which I campervanned for the trip. Fridge, batteries, solar panels, slide-out...
